Unstoppable Tragedies 80-Years Old Man Dies Due To Electric Scooter

Telangana police reported that in the Telangana’s Nizamabad district, on Wednesday, the electric scooter’s battery  was exploding   when it was being charged at their residence due to which an 80-year-old was killed and four other members of his family suffered burn injuries.

The police stated that the person who died was B Ramaswamy. The son of the deceased, B Prakash, a tailor was riding an EV scooter for a year.

A case was filed within Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 304A (causing the death of a person due to carelessness) against Hyderabad-based company Pure EV that had manufactured the scooter, as well as the dealer named A Venkateswarlu, assistant Commissioner for police Nizamabad.

The Incident

According to police, Prakash took the battery off the scooter and put it back for charging at 12.30 am. His father Ramaswamy and mother Kamalamma along with son Kalyan were in their bedroom when the batteries was exploding around 4am, injuring the three. Prakash along with his wife Krishnaveni were also injured when fighting the flames, according to Sub-inspector Sai Nath of Three Town police station in an announcement.

The police reported that while the injured were receiving treatment in a private clinic the condition of Ramaswamy deteriorated. the victim died of injuries after being transferred to Hyderabad for treatment.

Pure Ev Expresses Regret but Claim There is no Customers Record on Database

Additionally, Pure EV expressed regret regarding the incident, and issued the following statement on Thursday, stating it is fully cooperating with local authorities investigating the incident. It stated that it had directed its agent to collect all details regarding what transpired from person who complained.

Pure EV said that “From our customer database , we don’t have any records of service or sale provided by the user quoted on the internet. Our dealer is investigating whether the car was bought via a second-hand purchase from any of our initial customers”.

“Pure EV takes safety of its clients and their vehicles serious and is constantly educating the public of scheduled free services and information campaigns that promote best practices for safety of vehicles” declared the company in providing the necessary assistance to users of its electric scooters. further.
