Having corporate wellness program alone, however, is insufficient; businesses must also make sure that they are offering solutions that support employees’ success and enjoyment at work while also favourably influencing their level of overall life satisfaction.


Companies are using greater discernment when determining the worth of their goods because workplace health programmes are more prevalent than ever.

Overall, “employers are expanding their investment in health and well-being programmes,” according to the research. Wellable predicts that investments in wellness programmes will continue as the notion of wellness gains popularity and employees demand more of it. The most and least valued workplace wellness initiatives in 2020


Mental health, mindfulness and meditation, and stress management are expected to receive more money this year. The top three programmes “overwhelmingly show companies’ interest and attention to mental wellbeing,” since stress and mindfulness affect mental health.

Wellable says employers who invest less in these activities will resort to newsletters and gym reimbursements. Lack of infrastructure and resources makes it difficult for employers to invest in on-site exercise programmes, the poll found.


New Wellness Offerings for 2022

According to Wellable, businesses are selecting services that offer flexible work schedules, remote work choices, and paid time off to employees, especially those who are caring for others. By more than double or triple the percentage points, these products outperformed comparable wellness initiatives.


Counseling services and caregiver-provider referral services are two more new wellness services that are popularising after caregiver assistance. Both reduce the strain associating with care coordination, and counselling services in particular represent the significantly expanding attention being paid to employee mental health.
