Blackheads

Blackhead is a nightmare for both men and women. They usually appear on the nose, neck, face, and back. Our skin contains small openings known as pores. These pores connect the sebaceous glands or hair follicles with little muscles. These muscles help to open and close those pores. When this pore gets accumulated with dirt, pollution, dead skin cells, or oil then it becomes a blackhead. Exposure to air makes them turn black.

Remedies

1. Vaseline and oil

Firstly, clean your nose with a cotton pad dipped in micellar water. Make sure all the dirt and sebum are removed from the nose. Now take Vaseline or petroleum jelly. Apply a thick layer of it over your nose. Also, apply Vaseline on the side of your nose. Then take a cling film and wrap it all over your nose.

Next, take a clean cloth and damp it in warm water. Place this cloth on your nose for 30 seconds as a steam massage. When you feel that the cloth is no longer hot, then remove it along with the cling film. Now wipe out the excess Vaseline with a cotton pad.

Next, take a cleansing balm or oil and massage it gently all over your nose. You would be using a great quantity of oil to remove those blackheads. Through massaging, blackheads will be removed. After finishing the massage, rub your nose with some water and oil.

Then your nose must appear a milky white color. The final step is to use a foaming cleanser. Massage the cleanser on your nose with a facial brush gently. Ensure that Vaseline and oil are completely removed from your nose. Wash your nose. It should become smooth, clear, and shiny.

2. Aloe vera gel

It helps to soothe your skin and helps to remove blackheads from the skin. Firstly cut the aloe Vera into slices. Then extract the gel from it. Now make this aloe Vera gel into a paste texture. Gently apply it to your nose or any other affected area. After 10 to 15 minutes of application, wash your face. Use this remedy frequently for the best results.

3. Tomato

Vitamin C and A are found in tomatoes. Improving skin tones, removal of facial oil, and shrinking pores features are contained in tomatoes. Tomato contains anti-bacterial and anti-oxidants that help to remove blackheads. In addition to it, it also helps to cure damaged skin.

Cut the tomatoes into slices. Then blend them into a paste. Now apply this pulp to affected areas for 30 to 40 minutes and then wash it. Use this remedy at least 3 to 4 times a week.

4. Oatmeal’s

Oats have anti-inflammatory properties. It helps in exfoliation. Add 2 tablespoons of oatmeal with 2 tablespoons of yogurt and mix it. Now add half a tablespoon of lemon juice into the mixture.

Next, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and mix it well. Apply this paste to affected areas for about 10 to 15 minutes and rinse the face. Use this remedy about twice a week.

5. Baking soda

It is used for exfoliation. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of water. For 15 minutes apply this mixture. Afterward, wash your face with warm water. Therefore, baking soda helps to neutralize the pH imbalance on the face. Thus all of the impurities from the skin get removed.

6. Steam

Blackheads become soft after steaming your face. Hence allows them to be easily removed from the skin.

7. Honey, lemon, and sugar

First of all, add one tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of lemon juice to 1 tablespoon of sugar. Give it a mix. Apply the mixture to blackheads for 15 minutes. Use warm water to wash the face.it helps to open up the pores. Honey has anti-bacterial properties.

8. Lemon juice with cinnamon

Cinnamon helps to boost blood circulation, it shrinks the pores. Whereas lemon juice removes the blackheads. Take 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder, add a pinch of turmeric, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice in a container. This paste must be applied for 15 minutes. Then wash your face.

9. Coconut oil and sugar scrub

Apply coconut oil and sugar scrub on regular basis accordingly.

10. Milk and honey

Milk contains lactic acid that helps in the removal of dead skin cells from the skin. Add 1 tablespoon of milk to 1 tablespoon of honey. Warm this mixture for 10 seconds. After the mixture has been cooled down, then apply it to the face. With the help of a cotton pad apply it to the affected areas. After 10 minutes remove the cotton pad and rinse off your face.

11. Green tea leaves

Mix one tablespoon of green tea leaves with one tablespoon of water. Massage the mixture for 3 minutes in affected areas. After that wash your face. Therefore, it can be used thrice a week.

12. Egg whites

Firstly, take a bowl, add one egg white and whisk it. Secondly, apply this on your face but before this make sure your face is clean. Now put tissue paper on your face except for the eyes and mouth. Again apply another layer of egg white to your face. Leave the mixture for 20 minutes. Finally, remove the mask from your face.

13. Clay mask

Clay has oil-absorbing properties. It removes oil and grease from the skin. Thus use a clay earth mask on your face. Remove it after 15 to 20 minutes.

14. Turmeric and oil

Turmeric contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents. Mix one tablespoon of turmeric in oil to form a paste. Apply this to your affected areas for about 15 minutes. So for best result use it thrice a week.

How to avoid blackheads formation

  • Avoid popping these blackheads. As a result, popping them may cause infection by spreading the bacteria and germs.
  •  In addition, it may even leave marks on the skin.
  • Besides this never use blackhead removing tools like tweezers until and unless you are an expert.
  • Do exfoliate your skin specifically once a week. But never use harsh exfoliating agents
  • Similarly, wash your face regularly.
  • Use facial scrubs for scrubbing the face.
  • Apply a gentle moisturizer frequently.
