Saidpur Village’s Historic Importance
Saidpur Village is historically significant. Efforts have been made to conserve and maintain it so that future generations can come and learn from this treasure. The settlement was named after Said Khan, the son of a Gakhar lord. Khan gave the village to his daughter as a present. Later, she married Emperor Jehangir. It is reported that Jehangir stayed in the village on his border travels.
