IPL 2020 Bira 21 signs an ongoing sponsorship agreement in conjunction with Delhi Capitals
India’s fast-growing beer brand Bira 91 has signed a long-term sponsorship agreement together with Delhi Capitals, Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise. As per the agreement it is expected that the Bira branding will be put out and printed on Delhi Capitals player’s helmets and caps. Bira will take over JBL, the most renowned music equipment – speaker and headphones brand.
In a report by InsideSport.co, Delhi based IPL team and beer company Bira 91 has entered a five-year agreement to sponsor the team. A official announcement is expected shortly.
The most popular beers label Bira 91 is also a global partnership with the International Cricket Council. In advance of the ICC World Cup 2019, Bira 91 signed the five-year agreement with the International Cricket Council (ICC).
In the course of the contract, that is in effect until 2023. Bira 91 has been granted the status of being an official sponsor for ICC world-class tournaments. This include ICC World Cup, ICC T20 World Cup, ICC U19 Cricket World Cup, ICC World Test Championship and ICC Women’s Championship.
In the past calendar year Delhi Capitals have also announced the top disruption in the field of financial markets EbixCash, a global brand that is gaining recognition internationally in cricket, as an associate sponsor of the back of the jersey for the players.
The GMR-owned franchisee as well as JSW Sports has an existing agreement with the title sponsor Daikin. Alongside JSW Sports’ commercial partners, Fever 104 FM, Paytm and 107.2 Radia Na Ha, the other sponsors include Lotus Herbals, Coca-Cola, Jio Digital Life DTDC Courier and Dream 11.
India’s top long-distance runners Procam International earlier this month have made public Bira 91 as their official Companion to all their world-class events.
The partnership was launched with the prestigious World Athletics Gold Label Road Race Tata Mumbai Marathon on January 19. It will continue up to Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, Tata Consultancy Services World 10k and Tata Steel Kolkata 25k.
