A part of the Startup India initiative, Urban Khichdi Private Limited recently received the sum of Rs 2.5 crores of angel investments from an Ahmedabad located realtor.

The Investor is also an integral partner to the brand, and serve as a mentor on the future.

Urban Khichdi Private Limited was created in 2018 by two of their school buddies, Preet Kadia and Meet Lakhani with the basic intention of establishing a range of brands that offer cuisines that are adored by the masses.

With the highest quality of ingredients and at a price that is affordable They use the best of ingredients at a reasonable price. Journey began by launching the very first Urban Khichdi outlet in the multi-cultural City of Ahmedabad.

In less than three months, Urban Khichdi has grown to become a household name thanks to outlets across a number of other cities such as Gandhinagar, Surat and Vapi.

The pair strongly believed in the development of a robust backend system that could support different methods to ensure quality as well as consistency throughout all channels.

Through consistent effort, Urban Khichdi today has grown into a full franchise management firm with three brands in operation including Urban Khichdi, Dakshination and Patiala Platter, while the company’s founders are thrilled to be the launch of a brand new pizza which is expected to be into the market in mid-September of this year.
